Justin is a graduate of Oklahoma City University School of Law and part of the firm’s litigation practice. Justin’s practice has been devoted to insurance bad faith and all other areas of insurance law, including counseling, advising, and consulting individuals and businesses relating to insurance coverage, benefits, and regulation in multiple states for all lines of insurance. Justin also represents clients in business transactions, trust and estate litigation, class actions, attorney malpractice, personal injury, and contract disputes. Justin’s practice also focuses on employment law matters, including counsel and representation of both employees and employers.
Justin has been recognized as an Oklahoma Super Lawyer for ten consecutive years and was named to the Top 50 List in 2019, 2020, 2023, and 2024. In 2023, Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt appointed him to serve as a Commissioner of the Oklahoma Ethics Commission.
Justin is a member of Oklahoma Association for Justice and the Gavel, a national association of insurance lawyers. He has successfully resolved complex litigated matters for both Plaintiffs and Defendants through motion practice, mediation, arbitration, and trial. In addition to his litigation practice, Justin provides consulting and training in the areas of coverage, uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage, bad faith and claims handling. He often serves as Local Counsel for out-of-state law firms.
Justin represented retired Oklahoma City Firefighter Ron Cunningham and his late wife in a breach of insurance contract and bad faith case against Aetna. In 2018, after more than two weeks of trial, the lawsuit resulted in a jury verdict of $25.6 Million, the largest individual bad faith verdict in the history of Oklahoma.
